Thanks so much for reading this year. I must say I think you all deserve a medal or at least some kind of certificate for wading through some of these descriptions...
Anyway, have a great Christmas - and here's to 2012!

Wishing you a special Christmas, thank you for all that you do....
Merry Christmas to you and yours. Thank you for your wonderfu words, the tears and laughter, and even more for making realise how lucky we are to have you and all the other emergency services here. Happy New Year to you all. lollipop xx
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family Spence. It would be lovely to think you'll have no material for next year (I'm sure you know what I mean,it is an amazing blog to read) but sadly that won't be the case.
No mate...it's you who deserves the medal...and not just for blogging so beautifully...
Let me explain...six weeks ago I had a (mild fortunately) heart attack and have since had ECGs, an angiogram, and various other tests...
It transpires I have angina (my own fault...I smoked from age 13 to 48...I had a full english (plus sausages and beefburgers) every day until about eight months ago...I'm now 58...I've given up all the right things, but far too late!
I've had very little practical experience of the NHS, having been blessed with generally good health....But from the moment I was admitted to hospital to the present, I've encountered nothing but bloody brilliant people...
I can honestly say from Cleaners, Porters, Ancilliaries, Paramedics, ambulance staff, Nurses, Sisters, Doctors and Consultants...they've all been, (absolutely without exception), cheerful, upbeat, friendly, helpful - in short, bloody brilliant...
There may well be lots of things wrong with the NHS (and I think there may well be), but there's absolutely nothing wrong with the front line staff - they're (god knows why looking at the wages) totally committed...it's got to be in the bureaucracy and administrative structure...
Thanks mate for being part of the bit that works....and thanks also for writing like an angel...
I hope you and yours enjoy a truly happy Christmas...bless you all...
Sorry you've not been well, Cogi. That sounds quite an ordeal. Hope you're well on the way to a full recovery now.
It's great to hear you had a good experience of your trip through the NHS. I know I'm biased, but I think the majority of the staff do a good job under difficult circumstances.
