Always cuts right through anything else that's going on.

Henners
Don't worry about any of this. You get to do so many resuses that it does become routine, and there's nothing better than routine at providing insulation from some of the pain behind these things.

Having said that, I do think it's good to keep sensitised to the real people behind the event. It's a question of finding the balance.

Thx for your comments
SSpence Kennedyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11183848895584919812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27691111.post-71315507257490776102008-08-27T17:34:00.000+00:002008-08-27T17:34:00.000+00:00I sort of get a strange feeling inside when I read...I sort of get a strange feeling inside when I read blog posts of this nature; where death is involved but also where someone's routine is present. You get a sense of normality interweaved between death and sadness. I guess it just highlights the fact that the body you may be working on was all well and alive just a few moments before the resus.

I suppose I should get used to that feeling; I've got at least 4 years of it to come, starting from September.

(I don't really know if that makes any sense to anyone else!)Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08828856811423626226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27691111.post-85191915852051539832008-08-27T17:15:00.000+00:002008-08-27T17:15:00.000+00:00A familiar story. The noise that comes from the new...A familiar story.

The noise that comes from the newly bereaved is just as primal and animal the noise that comes from a women bringing a new life into the world........... a wierdly comforting similarlity I think.

Beautifully written as always.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
